Nonscale suppression of topological surface states on SnTe paper published

Defects that break crytalline symmetry can suppress the topological surface states of the topological crytalline insulator (TCI) SnTe.  This paper presents experiment and theory showing that defects that break symmetry lead to suppression, and theory elucidates what suppression means, why it happens, and how it is to be observed.  Publihsed in Physical Review Materials DOI 10.1103/PhysRevMaterials.2.114205
